PDMS standard 2-reagent flow-focusing chips

Droplet microfluidic is a field for turning a continuous fluid into microscale droplets based on the interfacial tension and flow shear between immiscible fluids. Compared with the cross-flowing geometry, the flow-focusing geometry is more stable, and has a wider range of microdroplet sizes. Therefore, it is currently the best choice for microdroplet generation.

FluidicLab provides PDMS standard 2-reagent flow-focusing chips. Each chip is covalently bonded from a perforated glass slide substrate and a PDMS chip with microscale channel, and the surface of channel is hydrophobic modified to ensure the stable generation of microdroplets. This type of chip is suitable for introducing 2 dispersed phases (usually aqueous solutions) and 1 continuous phase. Droplets are generated after the dispersed phases mixed together and sheared by the continuous phase. The two dispersed phases could be a cell suspension and barcode beads for single-cell sequencing libraries, or two immiscible aqueous phases for generating stable Janus microspheres.
